Creating an engaging multimedia learning module for a multinational professional services network.

KPMG is a multinational professional services network, and one of the Big Four accounting organisations, providing three lines of service: audit, tax and advisory. With the introduction of new global reporting processes, the UK communications team needed to swiftly and effectively manage this organisational change effort with all UK staff.

The team agreed that a module with animated elements and integrated video, infographics and links to external documentation – all hosted online internally – would be the most effective method. This was complemented by print flyers to raise further awareness. Working with SMEs, we developed the content for the module, with a focus on disseminating key nuggets of information to present them in an absorbable way.

The overall presentation had to abide by strict brand identity guidelines. Flash allowed for sleek animations and interactive elements to keep viewers engaged throughout. We were able to create a more interactive user experience with simpler navigation and more digestible information. External links provided direct access to further information and assistance. The module was hosted via SharePoint, which provided staff easy access via a secure internal platform.

The digital communications were deployed to approx. 10,000 users in the UK. The feedback received was positive, and statistics showed a high number of employees accessed the materials, with many reaching out to further resources.
